Which PDF files can Katapic read?+
Supplier catalogs, price lists and menus, up to 100 pages and 20 MB per file, plus photos of a printed list. Scanned documents work too: the AI reads the pages visually, so the PDF does not need a text layer.
How much does importing a PDF cost?+
The scan costs one credit per 10 products found, charged only when the scan is complete, and you see the total before spending it. Importing the rows into your catalog is free, and so is importing a CSV. The 10 free credits of the trial cover a list of 100 products.
What happens with a big file?+
The first pages are read right away and you see the products found. If your balance does not cover the whole scan, the session waits with the rows visible and you continue after topping up. Nothing is charged before the scan is complete.
Does it keep the product photos?+
Yes. Pictures embedded in the PDF are extracted, matched to the right product and attached automatically. You see them in the review step, before importing. If the file has no photos, you can upload your own, pick one from the web, or generate an illustrative image with AI for one credit.
Do the imported products get a written description?+
They enter with the data on the page. Catalog Diagnosis then shows which ones are worth writing up with AI, one credit each, so you decide what to spend and when.
Where do the products go afterwards?+
